Klever Web Extension is your door to the Web3. It is a secure and anonymous multi-crypto wallet to store crypto-assets and connect to dApps from multiple blockchains such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), BSC (BNB), KleverChain (KLV) and TRON (TRX).
This tutorial shows how to back-up your wallet inside Klever Extension. It covers two points:
How to back-up the seed of your wallet?
Each multi-crypto wallet on Klever Extension has a 12-word seed, which can be used to restore your wallet on any device. So, in case of a problem or to migrate your wallet into a new device, you require the 12-word seed. The 12-word seed enables you to restore all your related accounts on all blockchains. The following steps show how to back-up the 12-word seed of your wallet.
Step 1: From the main page, click on the settings icon from the upper-right corner.
Step 2: Under Settings, click on Privacy and Security.
Step 3: Click on Reveal Seed Phrase.
Step 4: After carefully reading the Security Alert, input your password and click on Next button.
Step 5: Verify that no one is watching, and click on Show Seed Phrase to reveal the 12 words.
Step 6: Carefully, write down the 12-word seed in a piece of paper, then click on Done button.
Warning
NEVER SHARE 12-word seed with anyone, even with Klever Support agent. Also, do not input your 12-word seed in any website or fake extension. If you share the 12-word seed with any person, then he/she can steal your funds.
Notice
Store your 12-word seed in a safe place. if you lose your 12-word seed, then you cannot recover it or retrieve your funds.
How to back-up the private key of an account?
All the accounts in your wallet on Klever Extension are linked to the same 12-word seed. However, each account has a unique private key. Although the 12-word seed enables you to recover all your accounts, it is a good practice to also back-up the private keys of all accounts, one by one. The following steps show how to back-up the private key of a certain account.
Step 1: From the main page, click on the settings icon from the upper-right corner.
Step 2: Under Settings, click on Privacy and Security.
Step 3: Click on Reveal Private Keys.
Step 4: After carefully reading the Warning, confirm that you understand the threat of revealing your wallet seed or private keys to any person, then click on Proceed button.
Step 5: Input your password, then click on Proceed button.
Step 6: Select the Blockchain of the target account which you want to back-up its private key.
Step 7: Select the target account.
Step 8: Store the private key of your account somewhere safe, and you are done!

The private key of a certain account enables you to recover only that account. Each account has a unique private key, but all accounts share the same 12-word seed.
