Klever Wallet enables Moonriver, a fully Ethereum-compatible parachain on Kusama.
Klever and Moonriver have collaborated to activate parameters inside the Klever app; those features are now available in Klever's new update 4.9.0 for Android and iOS.
New Features include:
-
Moonriver parachain support
-
MOVR Send/Receive and
-
all standard Klever Wallet functionality
With Klever Wallet, you can easily and securely receive and send using MOVR. In addition, we have activated our Charge feature, perfect for selling products or billing for services in MOVR.
Klever is also an active collator on Moonriver.
What is Moonriver (MOVR)?
Moonriver is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract parachain on Kusama. It complements Moonbeam by serving as a canary network with a perpetually incentivized environment. Moonriver receives a new code first so it can be tested and verified under real economic conditions.
Klever Wallet will also expand its support to Moonbeam once the network is fully launched.
With minimal changes, developers can easily deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp front ends to Moonriver. It accomplishes this by offering a full EVM implementation, a Web3-compatible API, and bridges connecting Moonriver to existing Ethereum networks.
Moonriver is the most widely adopted parachain in Kusama, with over 9 million transactions, 80+ live integrations, 285k+ wallets, and 2k+ ERC-20 tokens.
Moonriver is an early indicator of what kind of activity Moonbeam Network will bring to Polkadot. With Moonbeam, Polkadot will have multichain applications and thousands of new users.
Moonbeam is expected to start its three-phase launch process on December 17.
Moonriver token $MOVR
Moonriver is a decentralized smart contract platform that requires a utility token to operate. As a central component of Moonriver, MOVR cannot be removed without sacrificing its essential functionality.
Among the uses of Moonriver tokens are:
-
Supporting smart contract execution via gas metering
-
Encouraging collators to create a decentralized node infrastructure on which the platform can run and incentivizing the creation of an infrastructure
-
Providing on-chain governance mechanisms, such as voting, approving referenda, and electing council members.
-
Paying for network transaction fees.
Moonriver: What Makes It Unique?
Moonriver minimizes the number of changes needed to run existing Solidity smart contracts on the Ethereum network by replicating Ethereum's Web3 RPC, accounts, keys, subscriptions, logs, and more. With Hardhat, Truffle, Remix, and other popular deployment tools, Ethereum projects can easily replicate their DApp and deploy it to Moonbeam.
