What is Filecoin (FIL)?
The Filecoin project hopes to decentralize storage and store "humanity's most valuable information." It raised $205 million in an initial coin offering (ICO) in 2017, and originally planned to launch in mid-2019.
According to the original description of the project in 2014, it functions as an incentive layer for IPFS, a peer-to-peer storage network. FIL, Filecoin's native currency, is the blockchain's native protocol and it has an open protocol backed by a blockchain that records the commitments participants make to the network. The blockchain relies on both replication proofs and spacetime proofs.
Who Founded Filecoin?
The genesis of Filecoin can be traced back to Juan Benet, who created the Interplanetary File System. Juan Benet is an American computer scientist who attended Stanford University. Following the founding of Protocol Labs in May 2014, he attended Y Combinator the following summer with an intention to support IPFS as well as Filecoin.
Klever Swap
Klever Swap is a core service of the Klever app that makes it simpler, faster and more convenient for our users to exchange cryptocurrencies at the click of a button. By monitoring live price action on top-tier exchanges, our native Swap engine creates a price index that is used by the Swap.
The swap itself is conducted by fully autonomous bots, built and maintained in-house by Klever’s developers team. These bots continuously seek the best exchange rate and prices among the top exchanges, and then execute the Swap with high precision, security and speed. The Klever Swap project is part of Klever Exchange.
