Bitcoin rises above $48,000 as CitiBank releases bullish report for BTC, while KLV grows over 21% in a day to exceed a market cap of $70 million, and ETH rises +14%, TRX +7% & BNB +21%.

Following a weekend with falling prices for Bitcoin (BTC) and other top cryptocurrencies, the crypto market bounced back on Monday as BTC rose above 48k to grow +9% in 24h, brining most altcoin along for the ride.

After a bloody few days in the red that saw BTC and the entire crypto market make a healthy correction of around -24%, Bitcoin’s rise on Monday was backed by a new report by CitiBank strongly laying out a case for Bitcoin as an integral part of the world’s financial system.

CitiBank asserted that BTC would play a larger role in the global financial system, stating that BTC could become “the currency of choice for international trade.” CitiBank said that Bitcoin has advantages over the current global payment system, including it decentralized nature, lack of foreign exchange exposure and transparent ability for transaction tracing.
